Carmen Kivisild Named to the 2025 Mayfield and Divot AI List
Carmen Kivisild, founder of Elnora AI, was named to the 2025 Mayfield and Divot AI List, announced on 1 October 2025. The list identifies fifty founders, researchers, policymakers and writers described as rising voices in artificial intelligence.
The list is compiled by the venture firm Mayfield with Divot, and spans people working on AI across research, industry, policy and public writing rather than within a single sector.
Kivisild's inclusion cited the application of agents to preclinical laboratory work. A protocol is the instruction set for an experiment; writing one, adapting it to the equipment and reagents a given laboratory holds, and revising it as results return is skilled work that consumes a substantial share of a scientist's week.
Most investment and attention in AI for biology has gone to prediction, covering structures, targets and candidate molecules. The bench work that converts any of those into a result has received considerably less.
In the year following, Elnora was certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022, completed a SOC 2 Type 2 attestation, and co-organised hackathons in San Francisco and Tallinn.
